March 13, 2013
Testing and analysis is one of the most vital aspects of telecommunications, and the latest tools and innovations are being developed to enable enterprises to monitor their networks in a better way.
GL Communications (News - Alert) Inc., a provider of test, monitoring and analysis equipment for Wireless, IP and VoIP networks, has introduced its Windows Client/Server Software for T1 E1 analysis. The company offers PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to telecommunications enterprises across the globe, to give them access to a number of features, such as visualization, capture, storage, portability, remotability and scripting.
New Windows Client/Server Software for T1 E1 analysis by GL Communications is equipped with a range of advanced functionalities, including intrusive / non-intrusive T1 E1 Testing, performance monitoring and testing of multiple site locations from a single client, shared use of T1 E1 test equipment from multiple client locations, and automated factory testing on production lines.
Additionally, it allows for the simultaneous testing of high-capacity T1 E1 systems through a single client, and seamlessly integrates T1 E1 testing into more complex evaluation systems. The solution is able to leverage SS7, CAS and ISDN signaling to retrieve call records from remote locations, and deploys simple modifiable scripts to run each and every G.168 tests as well.
Every two seconds, the alarms at multiple locations are monitored, reported and recorded by the solution, and offers extensive support for auto and manual error insertions along with Bulk delay.
“GL’s Windows Client/Server software allows the user of T1 E1 analysis cards, the capability of remote operation, automation, and multi-site connectivity. T1 E1 Cards in a Server are easily controlled through software Clients at remote or local sites via TCP/IP sockets,” commented Vijay Kulkarni, chief executive officer at GL Communications, Inc. “Connectivity can be via Dial-Up, LAN, WAN, or more typically the Internet. Server software can run multiple tasks simultaneously at the request of the Client software. Server software is supported on Windows XP, Vista and 7. Now, Windows Client Server is available as a part of T1 E1 analyzer basic applications. However, with additional licenses, various modules can be obtained to suit a wide range of testing requirements.”
In February this year, GL Communications, Inc. released its enhanced HDLC Link Impairment Utility (HLIU) application and other HDLC Testing Tools. Some of the applications available are HDLC analysis, playback, Test Tx and Test Rx, file-based HDLC record/playback, multichannel HDLC emulation/analysis, and high-throughput, file-based HDLC record/playback.
