The advent of the Internet has seen an evolution in the mode of communication and yet when it comes to critical documents, like sales and purchase orders or even invoices, businesses tend to rely on fax services as delivery is reliable and secure. With the benefits of cloud computing being recognized, core IT applications are being deployed via the cloud and faxing from SAP (News - Alert) has gained in significance.

That's why Freudenberg IT (FIT), a SAP certified global provider of hosting and cloud services, and the well known document process automation solutions provider, Esker (News - Alert), reportedly decided to team up and deliver quality and value added solutions to customers using Esker's on-demand certified cloud fax service, noted officials.

The Esker 'Fax as a Cloud' service offers businesses the best of both worlds- automatic faxing as a cloud-based service and integration with SAP, with no additional hardware or software.

“Esker’s outbound cloud faxing solution proved to be a simple, cost-effective and highly productive solution that was exactly what we and all of our customers were looking for,” observed Richard Downham, vice president of business development at FIT, while commenting on the partnership.

By working directly to connect SAP systems, FIT is expected to help the dozens of mutual customers automatically send and receive business documents directly in and out of SAP applications via a secured connection. In the process, this is expected to simplify deployment and reduce the costs of maintaining a fax system without the addition of hardware or software.

Chris Denz, business development at Eske,r regarded the partnership with FIT as a perfect and natural fit. By working together, both companies will be able to leverage the benefits of the cloud fax and implement a proven and reliable solution for their customers.

Esker announced that it had received the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 and the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3402 certification for its on-demand automation solutions and these have become the new standards for reporting on controls at service organizations.
