Equisys, a provider of software solutions for document production, delivery, and management, continues to support key platforms via Zetafax 2012. Following the launch of Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows latest versions, Equisys announced that the customers of Zetafax 2012 can now download the Platform Feature Pack delivering support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 for Zetadocs PDF and Zetafax. The company announced the release of an upgraded version of Zetafax 2012, with improved support for Microsoft Windows latest versions for enhanced performance and operations. Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack will be available at no cost for customers having Software Assurance contract currently.

Talking about the release of Zetafax 2012 upgraded version, Gareth Williams (News - Alert), technical director of Equisys, said that the company boasts its commitment to support latest releases of key platforms at a high quality and promptly, adding to the core benefits of the Software Assurance contract with the customers. Zetafax 2012 has successfully achieved the certification for Windows 8 status, which further exemplifies the high quality of support extended by Equisys for the latest operating system.

Zetafax 2012 is the latest version of award-winning fax server software that instantly speeds up the flow of intricate business documents by allowing the users to receive and send faxes via their computer systems. The new upgraded version also includes all software updates made since the initial launch of Zetafax 2012. It was released on November 26, just following the launch of new Windows operating system, Windows 8. The Platform Feature Pack is currently available as an update service pack for the already existing Zetafax 2012 systems. However, it can also be downloaded by the customers who have the Software Assurance contract for Zetafax 2012 system. The complete product download for the system is also updated to incorporate Platform Feature Pack, so that the customers, who download Zetafax 2012 for version upgrade or new installation, will receive Windows 8 support automatically.  

In addition to Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 support, Zetafax 2012 provides a wide range of improved and new features over and above the earlier version. This includes:

• Delete after sending
• Auto cleanup
• Add annotations and signatures before sending
• Include transmission details on printed faxes
• Improved Client Tidy-up feature includes a folder for Sent Items
• Multiple message prints
• Zetafax API 64-bit support
• Easy management of recipients list history
• Displays earlier opened windows on startup
• Update option to version 6.5 Brooktrout (News - Alert) drivers
• Option of Administrator to delete sent messages via API

Besides these key features, Equisys also incorporated latest software improvements in Zetafax 2012. Additionally, the system also includes a host of performance and quality improvements over the earlier version.
